Gate valves operate by moving a gate perpendicular to the direction of fluid flow to either block or allow media through a pipeline. They can only be fully opened or fully closed and cannot be used for throttling or flow control.


Advantages of Gate Valves:

Here are some classifications of gate valves:
1. Fleyenda Parallel Gate Valve
   - This type of gate valve employs a parallel piston structure. It features excellent sealing, requires minimal operating force, and is suitable for high-pressure applications. The gate and the seat are parallel, and as the gate rises, the gap between the gate and the seat narrows slowly until it is fully closed. The advantages of parallel gate valves include excellent sealing, high flow capacity, and low operating force, making them suitable for high-pressure applications.

2. Fleyenda Wedge Gate Valve
   - This type of gate valve uses a wedge-shaped gate. It offers superior sealing and requires more operating force, making it suitable for the gas and petroleum industries. The gate and seat are wedge-shaped, and as the gate rises, the gap between the gate and the seat narrows rapidly, allowing for quick valve closure. The advantages of wedge gate valves include better sealing, higher operating force, and suitability for the gas and petroleum industries.
   - Fleyenda offers solid wedge gate valves and flexible wedge gate valves. Solid wedge gate valves have a solid wedge-shaped gate that can withstand high fluid pressures. They are suitable for most applications but may cause some fluid resistance due to the wedge shape. Flexible wedge gate valves have a gate composed of two parts, allowing it to flex between the seats, compensating for any misalignment of the seats. This design is suitable for applications where the seats may be prone to misalignment.

   Summary: Parallel gate valves are suitable for high-pressure applications, with a smooth gate and excellent sealing performance. Wedge gate valves are suitable for the gas and petroleum industries, with a wedge-shaped gate and superior sealing performance. 3. Fleyenda Rising Stem Gate Valve
   - The stem nut of the rising stem gate valve is located on the valve bonnet or bracket, and the stem is exposed, making it visible. The rising stem gate valve operates by rotating the stem with the handwheel thread. The lifting screw of the rising stem is exposed, with the nut fixed on the handwheel, and the gate is lifted by rotating the screw. The stem and gate have only relative rotational movement. Due to its taller appearance, the rising stem gate valve is more suitable for pipeline projects on the ground.

4. Fleyenda Non-Rising Stem Gate Valve
   - The stem nut of the dark rod stem gate valve is inside the valve body, in direct contact with the medium. Only a rod is exposed, with the nut fixed on the gate. The gate of the non-rising stem gate valve is driven to move up and down by rotating the fixed point of the stem thread, completing the opening and closing actions. The nut is fixed on the gate, and the gate is lifted by rotating the screw itself. The height of the non-rising stem gate valve remains constant, making it suitable for large-diameter or space-restricted installations, such as underground pipeline projects.
