On June 19th, Fleyenda received an inquiry from a Singaporean bidder. Upon receiving the inquiry, Fleyenda's sales team quickly initiated a targeted application solution study. It was determined that the valve project would be used in a fire station within the oil and gas industry, and the client had stringent requirements for the materials of the valve body and internal components, including the valve body, stem, seat, and seals. Leveraging our professional knowledge and precise recommendations, we provided detailed insights into the Chinese valve industry's supply chain. Ultimately, the client proceeded with a custom solution involving API 607 standard fire-safe, anti-static 316 stainless steel ball valves, and 316 cast steel gate valves.
After gaining a deeper understanding of Fleyenda’s product features, the client expressed a strong interest in future collaboration. However, time became a critical challenge for this partnership—Fleyenda needed to deliver the valves to Singapore by mid-September to meet the client’s project timeline.
On June 25th, the client successfully submitted the bid documents, and the project progressed smoothly. By August 8th, the project had passed rigorous technical evaluations and entered the commercial bidding phase. On August 15th, after final confirmation from the end-user, Fleyenda's products successfully made it into the bid shortlist.
On August 19th, with less than a month left before the delivery deadline and all valves being custom products, Fleyenda's sales representative Shelly immediately engaged in urgent communication with the factory’s product manager, emphasizing the urgency of the client’s project and requesting priority production. However, during production, there was a shortage of 316 steel cast blanks. The production manager promptly reported this issue to the sales team.
After swift deliberation, Fleyenda’s sales team prioritized meeting the client’s delivery schedule. They decided to upgrade the cast steel gate valves to forged steel gate valves at no additional cost, despite the 25% increase in costs. Forged valves, due to their mechanical properties during processing, offer higher mechanical strength and toughness, making them better suited for high-pressure fluid control. This solution not only ensured the delivery timeline but also enhanced the valve performance, meeting the client’s application needs.
After further communication with the client and the end-user, the client gladly accepted this upgraded solution. Today, all valves are ready at the factory, and once the client arranges logistics, they can be shipped immediately.
